Methodology: The 4P’s

Every company needs a process that defines how they grow. At 4-Profit, we’ve developed the 4 Ps. We believe that every business needs to understand the purpose of their business, develop a solid plan to reach their goals, execute on that plan with optimal performance, and then measure their progress along the way.

The 4 P's

Purpose:
Is your business growing, static, or retreating? Is it fulfilling? Do you have a “destination plan”? As first businesses for the majority of you and with more complex solutions, it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to take an objective look at the future of your business and why you and your people do what they do.

Do you understand the goals and motivation that drive you?

Plan:
“I don’t have time to plan…” This comment heard all too often throws up an immediate red flag for businesses with growth interests. Top leaders invest time with their management team and foster an understanding of accomplishments and priorities for upcoming periods. But first, the leader must have a workable plan. Sound simple? It is and it isn’t.
Do you have a plan which guides your business?

Performance:
It’s all about execution. Execution is about knowing the right things to do, when to do them and then doing it better than your competitors. As a Solution Provider, who you recruit and how they execute determines the breath and depth of your success and profitability.
Do you have the right team assembled to execute your plan?

Progress:
Measuring and monitoring your business is the final key to greater profitability. It is not only important to know what to evaluate in your business, and how your results compare to competition.

Do you know what to measure in your business and what benchmarks to compare them to?
